This site celebrates the thousands of bandstands that were erected from the late 1800s through to the mid 1900s around the world to provide a performance platform for the brass, military and wind bands that proliferated in those years. Sadly many are now no longer in existence, but their images remain as a reminder of the many enjoyable hours spent listening to bands in the parks. | ||
