The village maintains a private contacts list of members of the village. This consists of email addresses, with phone numbers for those without email. The purpose of this note is to update the contacts list. The list is ONLY used by the website administrator or the Parish Council, to communicate occasional news, events, information and important alerts relating to the village itself. Personal details are not released to any third parties, in or outside the village. At any time, you may ask to have your details removed from the village contact list.

News items and events are also posted on the village website and displayed in the notice board opposite the Blue Bell Inn.

My name is Jane and I live in Arkendale. I have over 10 years experience teaching both adults and children (DBS checked). My lessons are relaxed and fun and at the present time being done 'virtually' using Skype, FaceTime or zoom, with great feedback from my pupils! The Community Hall was opened in September 2009. It serves the villages of Arkendale, Coneythorpe, Clareton, Ferrensby, and Flaxby plus surrounding communities. Maintenance of the Hall is financed through its bookings and various fund raising activities and events.

Residents, visitors and supporters can sponsor the Hall by purchasing a plaque to be displayed in the Hall.
