Wednesday 17th March Blackheart Blackheart

Arkendale Comnmunity Hall

Blackheart are a Contemporary Folk Group with a large following and their website is www.blackheartmusic.co.uk if you would like to find out more about the group and their music.

Tickets are £8 and will be available from Caroline Houseman, 01423 340240. Doors open at 7.30pm and the concert starts at 8pm. There will be a licensed bar. Tickets MUST be obtained in advance - no payment on the door.

Gift Day and Coffee Morning

All Saints' Church, Staveley, 10am-12 noon

Coffee, biscuits. Extensive range of good plants, home made cakes and more.


Sunday 28th MarchArkendale 10K Run

10K RaceThe Arkendale 10k run will be starting and finishing at Sunnyside Farm in Arkendale.

This is a really enjoyable occasion with fun for all the family.

Refreshments are traditionally provided by members of Arkendale Church and any help with these will be gratefully received. Please contact either Eileen Houseman on 340531 or Sarah Shipman on 340515. Extra help on the day will also be much appreciated; please contact us if you can spare some time that morning.

Parish Council AGM and Village Assembly

Arkendale Community Hall, 7.30pm.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council will be followed by a short Parish Council Meeting, and the two meetings together should be over by about 8pm.

At this point it becomes the turn of the parishioners when the Annual Village Assembly of Parishioners takes place; this meeting, which all parishioners are encouraged to attend, provides a very valuable opportunity to raise matters of concern or interest to all.

The Parish Councillors will welcome a good attendance and also the chance to meet new people in the village who may as yet not know how the Council is run.

This is a 10km fun run on the lanes and tracks around Staveley.
Staveley and Copgrove Village Hall, 11am - 2pm
The race is organised by Must Tri Harder, and will be like last year's race in September.

Runners, spectators, marshalls and catering help will all be needed.
